Drop/Add/Withdrawal Classes

Students who desire to withdraw from courses after the first (5) five days of the semester but prior to the last two weeks (10 business days) of the term, must complete the withdrawal form located in the student’s MySRTC Okta by clicking the icon labeled “Student Initiated Withdrawal” which submits to the Registrar’s Office, see your course instructor, or email registrar@southernregional.edu. (See student handbook). Students may not withdraw within the last two weeks of the term.

You may Add or Drop courses to your schedule in Ellucian Experience at any time in the first FIVE days of the academic term with no penalty. After the FIVE day period has ended, the schedule is set.

Course instructors will contact students who have stopped participating and direct students to the official, student-initiated, withdrawal process.

Students who are no longer participating and do not withdraw themselves from a course will receive an “F” for the course.

The OFFICIAL withdrawal process is:

Complete the withdrawal form located in the student’s MySRTC Okta by clicking the icon labeled “Student Initiated Withdrawal” which submits to the Registrar’s Office, see your course instructor, or email registrar@southernregional.edu. (See student handbook).

If an instructor receives an email from a student noting the desire to withdraw, the instructor will forward this email to registrar@southernregional.edu.

Instructors will provide information on withdrawal process on course syllabus.

This procedure applies to all students regardless of delivery method.

Students who have been withdrawn from all courses must reapply for admission for the upcoming term.
